Ultra-Trail Xiamen by UTMB makes its debut on the UTMB World Series stage on 1-2 March 2025, ready to showcase its perfect blend of city, sea and mountains. Located in Xiamen, on China's southeast coast, the setting is one-of-a-kind as runners get to experience the diverse beauty of the area while immersing themselves in the vibrant local culture.

“The 2025 Ultra-Trail Xiamen by UTMB will embody the ‘sports+’ concept, delivering top-tier trails that cater to both international athletes and local enthusiasts. The races will explore Xiamen's northern mountain routes, enhanced with new renovations to offer an exceptional racecourse.”
Each of the three race distances - 100K, 50K and 20K - will capture the essence of Xiamen, exploring its natural beauty and historic landscapes. Iconic landmarks on the course include the historic De'an Fortress, sweeping panoramas atop Yunding Mountain, plus Xidong Reservoir and its lush green surroundings. Runners will also face the challenging ascent of Beichen Mountain, pushing them to their limits but rewarding them with more stunning views.

An extraordinary opportunity to race along one of the most iconic landmarks - the Great Wall of China - awaits as Ultra Trail Great Wall by UTMB joins the UTMB World Series circuit. Taking place on May 17-18, 2025, and based in the Qiaoxi District, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, the event offers an exciting blend of history, culture and natural beauty.
Race Director, Ma Zhenli said,
“Dajingmen is located in the northern part of Qiaoxi District, Zhangjiakou City, positioned at the natural pass between East and West Tai Ping Mountains. As the only ‘gate’ on the Ming Great Wall, it is renowned as the ‘First Gate of the Great Wall. Zhangjiakou, known as the "Great Wall Museum", showcases the essence of the Great Wall built across various dynasties. Here, runners will experience the unique charm of the Great Wall culture and appreciate the historical features of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall. This is a trail running event that sees history and nature intertwine, and we invite runners from around the world to take on the challenge.”
The event offers four race distances - 100K, 50K, 20K and 10K.
